Maryport C came to the Crown to play our C team hoping to lift themselves off the bottom of the table with their first win of the season and they almost managed it.

Things were looking good for them when Graham Sands beat Andy on board 1 and Nathan lost his game to captain, Andy Pringle on board 2.

Fortunately for Penrith, we had Richard and Dave H on the lower boards who continued their good form to win against James Todd and Dennis Renney respectively.

So, after a poor start, our C team managed to gain another point and are now level with Barrow who we play next Saturday. As you can see from the League table below our C team is clear of the bottom and are likely to end a long run of wooden spoons.
